"In Like"

It was July 27th when I went on this "blind date".....no one set me up except for myself. She was a willing participant and thanks to Christian Cafe for the forum to begin this new journey.

A simple "tea time" just down the road was our initial meeting spot and a month later (I know it was too long between the first meeting) we graduated to dinner and then more coffee dates. E-mails were exchanged, a few phone calls and I'm sure thoughts of each other consumed us both. Now she's always on my mind...

Shay is simply precious to me! It's amazing that she lives just down the road from me - a city of thousands and she's just around the corner. We share the same values and beliefs which is the starting point, and we enjoy so many other similar things....walking and talking, shopping, food, family, laughing at old stories, being vulnerable with each other......like I said, there is so much to her that amazes me. She's brilliant - her career is something that puts a smile on her face. So if anyone needs a Dietitian, then she's the one for you. Check out her site www.equilibriumnutrition.com

I'll keep more thoughts about her to just me! But here is a picture of her and I...

Christmas with the Reimer's

Well this year was a good one. It was more complete than others (see the other forum titled "In Like" to see more). Regardless, it's fantastic to hang out with friends and family. Seeing my neice and nephew grow up is a little scary. These little people turning out to be more precious and mature as the years go on. However, they still love their presents....don't we all though?

My nephew is turning into some mini home-boy - wearing chains on his pants, a baggy hoody and now a toque with flames (who bought him that for Christmas?). Next thing you know he'll be some white rapper-dude hoppin' around on stage - I can see my dad now just shaking his head.

My neice seems so prim and proper - she loves her dolls, toy pets and now clothes....she sure is a young female..... she's a princess and one I simply adore.

Now all the adults pic names in our family - I got a drill which every new home owner needs, dad got books, my brother in law got a battery charger, my sister I forget, and jewlery for my mom....the pictures may describe more......

New Adventure

Well it started back in the summer and I never did intend to by something right across the street from my parents place, but I did. I guess it was just the right timing, a good opportunity and of course a good price - however, one could argue my last point since real estate here in the Lower Mainland is out of control.

Take a pic at some of the pics to see the pain I went through......

Work, life and other stuff...

Since so many people always ask "so what do you do" I've attempted at least to describe to you as a reader what I do.

Music - if truth be told I'm a rock and roll star! Yes my dream to be a rock n' roller, playing drums for anyone famous, just so I can be famous, tour around in Prevost buses, eat at high end restaraunts, be catered do, do interviews, and do what I love - play my drums! Check out www.sarahlatheron.com . Here are a few pictures of the band...

Friends - I hang out with people that have shaped who I am. I like to do this whenever I can. My boy'z make me laugh, hold me true to who I am to be and introduce me to life via who they are - whether they are married or a father. Therefore, I tend to live vicariously through by buddies.....

Family - The DNA of who I am. My roots are from the Wack (Chilliwack, BC). I think I have the best family in the world - mom and dad, sister and bro-in-law and the cutest neice and nephew. So I love to see them, hang out and play with them and just live life with them.

Work - This word has caused too must anxst in my life. Trying to figure out who I am, what I'm good at, and what I want to put my energy into..... check out www.cncglobal.com or www.smartyards.ca a few areas that may describe me. I leave more time later to explain my thoughts on work, career, job or whatever one wants to call it.
