Easter 2007

It's always good to go home for the holidays and mom and dad love it so much when the family is all together. Mom takes care of us, feeds us and loves to tell Shay more stories about me - the new husband.

We have the annual Chocolate/Candy Hunt for the kids too....

The start of it all - the lovely brother and sister waiting in anticipation for the hunt to begin!!!

And they look earnestly for it all.....

...and then have to play by uncle Steve's rules by dividing it evenly.

Dad's 65th retirement gift.....it's a good thing summer is aroud the corner cause this big Weber BBQ will be put to work.

New Home on West 11th

Well it's been a while since I've had a major project on the go.... so I thought this time it would be nice to include Shay in new home renovations. Well in actuality, it was my dad and I that had the most work on our hands (laying new floor and base boards). However, Shay and I tackled all the pre and post cleaning, painting and all the fun in setting up our new place.

Here are a few pics....
What you're seeing above is the main living space....the kitchen, dining and living area....
This is the Master Bedroom.....both rooms are painting the same and sit on either side of the living area.
The stack of flooring ... a new project for dad and I...one we've never done, but never say never to a carpenter!!! It was a good father -son bonding experience....one we're proud of.
The magician himself ... sir John Reimer....he sure knew what he was doing.
A tender moment for the new daughter in law....Shay was great at supplying food and coffee when we needed it!
Shay was also great at helping out when she could - the base boards have her finger prints all over them!
Ah....the finished floor! A before and after shot!
...and the den/office .....before and after shot ...you'll see another photo later on when everything is set up.
Thrifty to the rescue......believe it or not...this truck was completely full and it came in handy even though we only drove 5 km.
Move in day coffee break with mom and dad...
..and the 2 goof balls from White Rock (thanks Dale and Matt)
...Shay attempting to roll up the rim....
Things in order....getting settled in.
...more organizing in the kitche...
The dining area....
The Master Bedroom all set up....

Office all done and set up...

..and finally the main living area....

Long Overdue...

I know, it's been a long time since we've added anything on this blog. But let me tell you, life has been busy...truly. So let's recap what's been happening in our life....

Well just before Christmas my beautiful Tercel decided to breakdown on me....on a hill! So after spending more on repairs than what I paid for the thing, it decided to break down again 2 days later. This left both Shay and I frustrated.....but since I'm the one driving the old piece of $#@& we decided to spend some money on a more reliable car.

Now on to Christmas.... For the first time Shay and I spent time with both families as husband and wife!!! We loved every minute of the season. Our families are great, so spending time with new "in-laws, and siblings was fun.

Now that life is back to normal, Shay and I thought we'd shake things up in our lives and add a bit more stress. We knew we wanted a bit more space other than our 578 sqft condo, so one afternoon we went to view a few open houses. To our surprise we found something that fit our needs and so we put in an offer......surprisingly it was accepted and now we're moving April 1 to the South Granville area. The Compton is our new home...

So the next few months will remain busy for us. Work is going well for both of us, and my wife is really ramping things up for Equilibrium Nutrition. Her new website is up (a few edits to make), but you'll see how she's beginning to market herself in a fresh new way. I'm very proud of her!
By for now.
